FLOS TABLE LAMP KELVIN LED

The Flos Kelvin collection includes a range of functional work and reading lamps with adjustable light. The 2003 design comes from Antonio Citterio and is one of the most successful Flos collections.

The design is characterized by a flexibly adjustable double arm structure and an adjustable lamp head for direct light. Flos Kelvin is available as a bar table lamp with a base, clamp or with a furniture adapter for fixed installation, as a wall lamp and as a floor lamp. For small desks, Flos offers the Mini Kelvin LED table lamp, which only has a single arm instead of the two-armed structure of its big sister and works more fundamentally even with smaller dimensions but similar proportions.

The Flos Kelvin table lamp was originally developed for the use of halogen or fluorescent lamps. The shade had a characteristic slanted cone shape and was therefore based on the required E27 lamps in terms of shape and size. However, with the triumph of LED technology, this old model was finally completely replaced by the Kelvin LED: Since LEDs require less space than conventional lamps, more compact shapes are possible. The lamp head is no longer conical, but flat and space-saving. This makes the lamp appear more discreet and lighter overall, without losing functionality.

The square lamp head has modern rounded edges. The LED diffuser is located on the entire bottom, while on the top there is a touch dimmer that operates the light. Its position is designed for intuitive operation: it is always within reach and can be operated without having to get up.

The various Kelvin LED models also have practical special functions. Many of the lights are now equipped with Green Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness of the light to the current lighting situation in the room. However, manual dimming is still possible by deactivating Green Mode.

The latest version Kelvin Edge with modern Edge Lighting technology offers the option of dimming the light in three levels and varying the light color between objective and warm light. The same lamp provides bright work light at the desk during the day and a cozy reading light for relaxation in the evening.

- GREEN MODE (green switch) Now the Kelvin LED turns green, saving even more energy thanks to its automatic compensation of the ambient light.
