Cleaning and maintenance

Just like other types of wood, teak becomes rougher and grayer over time when exposed to sun and rain. This can cause small cracks. We recommend treating the piece of furniture with a wood oil - the oil regulates the level of moisture in the wood, which means the surface remains stable for longer. The thin layer of oil also limits the absorption of liquids, so stains remain superficial. It is best to repeat the treatment regularly. Dirt can be carefully removed with warm water and a light soapy solution.
