FLOS FLOOR LAMP ARCO LED

As an LED version, the Arco floor lamp loses none of its classic charm and remains an absolute must-have from Flos . Better yet: It is significantly brighter, dimmable and uses less electricity!

The brothers Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni designed the previous model in 1962 to solve a practical problem: installing a pendant lamp exactly above the living room table was sometimes difficult and not always possible. They created today's cult and art object based on the model of curved street lamps (Arco is Italian and means something like "arch"), whose lamp head protruded into the street. As is usual for top designers, the floor lamp offers even more advantages:

• The slim, curved shaft made of satin stainless steel is extendable. This allows you to make the bow smaller or wider as desired.
• The reflector made of polished and zapon-coated cast aluminum is also adjustable and height-adjustable.
• The dome-shaped, chrome-plated shade directs the light downwards.
• The marble block made of white Carrara marble provides the necessary stability and is easy to transport despite its weight of 66kg: It has a hole through which you can insert a broom part. This way two people can easily carry it.

After over 50 years, you can confidently say that this is a timeless design. The noble materials – together with the comfortable, pure lighting effect – adapt perfectly to any interior. With the expansive lamp arm you can illuminate both tables and sofa seating areas.
