Vincent Sheppard is a Belgian furniture brand that has been designing high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture since 1992. The company was founded with the goal of preserving the historic Lloyd Loom technique and carrying it forward in a contemporary way. Today, the company is one of the world’s best-known specialists in furniture made from woven kraft paper.

Lloyd Loom was originally developed in the early 20th century. In this technique, kraft paper is wrapped around a fine metal wire and then woven into long strips, much like a textile. These woven mats are cut to size and stretched and secured by hand onto wooden or rattan frames. The result is a smooth surface that is durable, pleasant to the touch, and free of protruding fibers.

For production, Vincent Sheppard works closely with artisans in Cirebon on the Indonesian island of Java. The region is known for its long tradition of working with and bending rattan. The brand’s central production facility is also located there. Design, product development, and final finishing take place in Belgium, where painters, seamstresses, and designers, among others, are involved in the completion of the products.

Over the years, the product line has expanded significantly. In addition to classic Lloyd Loom chairs, Vincent Sheppard now offers dining tables, lounge chairs, sofas, modular seating sets, coffee tables, bar stools, lounge chairs, lighting, rugs, and decorative accessories. Well-known collections include Kodo, Frida, Loop, Titus, Avril, Victor, Alex, Ari, Wicked, and Teo, among others.

The indoor collection combines natural materials and soft textures with a clean, contemporary design language. Lloyd Loom, rattan, and Viennese wicker are combined with wood, metal, upholstery, and fabrics. The result is furniture that creates a warm and cozy atmosphere and blends seamlessly into both modern and classically furnished spaces.

For outdoor use, Vincent Sheppard uses weather-resistant materials such as teak, aluminum, rope, synthetic wicker, ceramic, and specially treated outdoor Lloyd Loom. The outdoor collections include dining sets, lounge furniture, sun loungers, Side tables, and accessories for balconies, patios, gardens, and pool areas.

Outdoor Lloyd Loom furniture is treated with a special coating that makes the material more resistant to sun and moisture. The furniture can be used outdoors; however, according to the manufacturer, it should be protected or stored in a dry place during frost, heavy rain, and prolonged periods of inclement weather.

Another key focus is on comfort and long-term usability. Many cushions have removable covers, modular sofa systems can be expanded or reconfigured, and Lloyd Loom furniture can be refinished as needed. For minor repairs, Vincent Sheppard offers replacement glides, care products, and touch-up paint.

Vincent Sheppard also takes environmental and social factors into account in its production processes. The company has been FSC®-certified since 2013 and uses FLEGT-certified wood for its teak products. According to the manufacturer, recycling, wastewater treatment, and eco-friendly cleaning agents are part of its established production processes.
