Design

The HEXAGON Side table is based on clear geometry. The hexagonal shape picks up on natural structures and creates a precise, calm symmetry. Flexible arrangements can be created as individual pieces or in combination.

Material & finish

The base is made of solid teak. The table top made of glazed lava stone is finished by hand. The fine craquelé effect makes each surface unique and adds depth.

Care

The glazed surface is resistant to water, heat, frost and UV radiation. Cleaning with water and a mild detergent is sufficient.

Optimal use and maintenance

All the furniture in the Hexagon collection has a teak frame and glazed lava stone table tops, making it extremely easy to maintain and suitable for use in harsh, salty climates such as by the sea or swimming pool.

The teak used comes from plantations on the Indonesian island of Java and is hand-picked during the cutting process.

Glazed lava stone is a unique, masterfully crafted material that beautifully enhances the natural aspect of lava stone. It combines the strength of lava stone with the benefits of glazes. Thanks to the high density of lava stone, it can be used in large pieces. Because it was once molten lava, it can withstand the high temperatures required for glazing. The glaze makes the material highly resistant to water, frost, heat, stains and UV radiation. The material is highly resistant to chemicals and requires virtually no maintenance. Tribù opted for a subtle crackle effect. As it is a natural product, aesthetic imperfections are inherent to the material. Every table top made of glazed lava stone is therefore different. Unique and attractive.

Cleaning and maintenance

Teak wood: Treat new teak wood with Tribù's "Teak Protector" 4 to 6 weeks after first use. This leaves an invisible layer, preventing stains and green deposits. Dirty teak can be cleaned with Tribù's "Teak Super Cleaner". Allow the furniture to dry completely and then reapply the "Teak Protector". To avoid labor-intensive cleaning, you can also treat the wood with Tribù's "Teak Sealer". Simple cleaning with water and a pH-neutral soap will last for many years. Teak Sealer contains UV protection to slow down the graying of the wood and a fungicide to prevent the development of mold.

Glazed lava stone: Clean the tabletop with water and a pH-neutral soap. Stubborn stains can be removed with Tribù's "Glass & Ceramic Cleaner". Tribù's "Ceramic Protector" can also be used to protect the table top - this provides a highly water and dirt-repellent coating on the ceramic top. This makes it brighter, smoother and even easier to clean.
