Daily care of your oiled piece of furniture
To ensure a long service life for your oiled solid wood furniture, please follow the cleaning and care instructions in these instructions. Keep these for future reference.
Non-adherent dirt, such as B. Bread crumbs can be easily removed with a dry or slightly damp duster. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents as these can permanently damage the wood.
Basically, any dirty liquids or foods (e.g. jam, tomato sauce or coffee) should be wiped off immediately to prevent them from getting on the wood.
Wipe it with a clean, slightly damp cloth. You can add a small amount of soap, preferably black soap.
Care for your oiled piece of furniture selectively or as needed.
Also maintain your table once a year or as needed. In a well-ventilated room, gently scrub along the grain with the abrasive pad (or similar sponge) that came with your piece of furniture. Check the expiration date of the oil provided and shake thoroughly before use. Apply the product in thin layers using the cloth also provided. Under no circumstances should you leave the oil on the wood. Then wipe your table with a cloth (not a microfiber cloth).
DANGER
Please note that the oil is highly flammable. Therefore, dry the cloth by laying it flat in the air (ex: in a dry sink) before throwing it away. Under no circumstances should you crumple the cloth, otherwise it could catch fire. Avoid breathing the fumes.
Please note that wood is a natural and living material - it therefore works with fluctuations in room temperature or humidity (preferably between 50 and 60%).
A balanced room temperature and humidity are recommended for both solid wood furniture and for you. Please also note that discoloration of the wood due to sunlight is also unavoidable.
