Manutti is a Belgian brand of luxury garden and patio furniture headquartered in Deerlijk. The company was founded by Stéphane De Winter, whose experience with textiles and upholstery fabrics has had a decisive influence on the brand’s development. For more than two decades, Manutti has focused on designing high-quality outdoor furniture for private residences, hotels, restaurants, and international commercial projects.
Manutti’s philosophy is based on the idea of designing outdoor spaces as fully-fledged living areas. Gardens and patios should not only be furnished for functionality, but should also offer the same comfort, design quality, and atmosphere as a high-quality interior space. Flowing lines, natural materials, and calm, earthy tones therefore characterize many of the collections.
The product line includes garden chairs, armchairs, bar stools, dining tables, lounge chairs, modular and fixed-configuration sofas, sun loungers, daybeds, side tables, and outdoor accessories. Well-known collections such as Kobo, Flows, Sunrise, Sandua, Muyu, Zendo Sense, Kumo, Torsa, and Elements offer a variety of design concepts—ranging from clean and architectural to soft, organic, and particularly cozy.
A distinctive feature of the brand is its wide variety of materials. Depending on the collection, Manutti uses natural or finished teak, powder-coated aluminum and stainless steel, wrought iron, iroko wood, ceramic, Trespa®, Quaryl®, rope, wicker, and various technical outdoor fabrics. Thanks to the coordinated colors and finishes, furniture, upholstery, and tabletops can be harmoniously combined.
In its manufacturing process, Manutti combines modern production technologies with artisanal craftsmanship. Many elements are finished by hand by experienced craftsmen. The woven rope surfaces are particularly labor-intensive: according to the manufacturer, individual pieces of furniture require more than 60 hours of handwork. The rope used consists of a UV-resistant blend of Textilene® and polyolefin and is suitable for use near pools and in seawater.
Manutti also offers a variety of design options for teak. In addition to natural teak, the brand offers brushed and dark-finished versions such as Teak Nero and Teak Scuro. According to the manufacturer, the wood comes from certified plantations in Indonesia. Its natural resistance to moisture and changing weather conditions makes teak particularly well-suited for high-quality outdoor furniture.
Many Manutti sofas feature a modular design. End, middle, corner, and end-cap sections, as well as chaise longues and ottomans, can be combined to create custom lounge sets. This allows the furniture to be adapted to different floor plans, group sizes, and usage scenarios. In addition to spacious sofa arrangements, Manutti also offers more compact solutions for balconies and smaller patios.
To ensure long-term use, Manutti offers care products and care kits tailored to the various materials. They are available for teak, aluminum, stainless steel, ceramic, rope, and outdoor fabrics, among others. Custom-fit protective covers shield numerous models from dirt and moisture. However, the furniture and cushions must be completely dry before being covered and should be aired out regularly.
Manutti caters to people who view their outdoor space as a permanent living area. The combination of Belgian design, artisanal details, modular planning, and high-quality outdoor materials enables customized designs for private gardens as well as for sophisticated architectural and hospitality projects.
