GOMMAIRE is a Belgian design brand for furniture and home accessories that was founded in 2015. What began as an idea to develop a unique Belgian furniture collection grew within a few years into an internationally established brand for high-quality indoor and outdoor furnishings. The headquarters and showroom are located in Antwerp.
At the heart of the brand identity is the concept Organic Living. Nature serves not only as a source of visual inspiration but also as the basis for the materials used. Organic shapes, irregular surfaces, visible grain patterns, and natural hues characterize the entire collection. The individual pieces of furniture and accessories are designed so that they can be combined to create a serene and cohesive interior design concept.
The outdoor collection is a particularly important part of the product line. It consists primarily of furniture made from solid teak and teak root. These materials are complemented by rope, wicker, rattan, and specially developed outdoor fabrics. The collection includes dining tables, chairs, benches, lounge chairs, modular sofas, sun loungers, and coffee tables for patios, gardens, and upscale dining areas.
The teak used is deliberately treated only minimally to preserve its natural structure. Over time, exposure to sunlight, moisture, and temperature can cause the wood to change and develop a gray patina. Minor cracks, color variations, and irregularities are also part of the natural aging process and are explicitly regarded by GOMMAIRE as part of the material’s organic character.
For added comfort, the outdoor furniture is paired with high-quality cushions. Depending on the model, the covers are made of materials such as polypropylene or acrylic and are water-repellent and colorfast. The cushions feature quick-drying foam fillings. However, during prolonged periods of rain and in the winter, the manufacturer recommends storing the furniture in a dry place.
The indoor collection also follows the brand’s distinctive, natural design language. Solid teak, French oak, recycled wood, rattan, and high-quality fabrics are crafted into dining tables, cabinets, armchairs, sofas, and chairs. Hand-applied finishes such as Authentic Grey or Fumé enhance the depth and unique character of the woods.
The furniture is complemented by an extensive collection of decorative items. These include hand-blown glass vessels, handmade terracotta vases, candleholders, baskets, wooden objects, pillows, and other accessories. Slight variations in shape and finish are not defects, but rather result from the artisanal production process and make each piece unique.
