BROKIS is a premium Czech brand of decorative designer lighting. Its focus is on the combination of hand-blown Bohemian glass, precise craftsmanship, and contemporary design. The collections are created by renowned Czech and international designers and have earned the brand international recognition in the fields of lighting, product, and interior design.

The lamps are manufactured at the historic Janštejn Glassworks in the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic. Its history dates back to 1809, making it one of the oldest continuously operating glassworks in the country. The glassworks also produces large-scale and technically sophisticated glass pieces, which are hand-formed by experienced glassmakers. Dedicated areas for grinding, polishing, and frosting allow for a highly controlled manufacturing process within the glassworks.

The distinctive effect of BROKIS lighting is often created by the interplay of different materials. Hand-blown glass is combined with handcrafted wood, metal, textiles, or leather. Transparent, opal, smoked, or textured glass surfaces influence not only the appearance but also the distribution and atmosphere of the light.

BROKIS is constantly refining its production processes and materials. One example of this is the Night Birds collection, whose curved glass forms required a two-year technical development phase. With this collection, the brand combines traditional glassblowing craftsmanship not only with contemporary design but also with its own technical solutions for complex lamp shapes.

Another focus is the recycling of glass scraps. In the artisanal blowing of lamp glass, up to 30 percent of a workpiece can be lost as excess material. From these glass shards, the company developed BROKISGLASS, an upcycled material with a distinctive, textured surface. It is used for lighting fixtures, decorative objects, and architectural applications.

In addition to indoor lighting, BROKIS also offers models for outdoor use. The Bonbori Outdoor collection combines hand-blown glass with stainless steel and a removable LED light source designed to withstand sub-freezing temperatures. In this way, the brand brings its signature glass aesthetic to patios, gardens, and outdoor spaces.
