The soft, waterproof Soft Cover Black cover can be used in combination with the snuffer and protective cover. Always turn off your OFYR with the snuffer and wait for it to cool down before putting on the protective cover. The cover can then be put on to protect not only the cooking surface but also the cone from the elements. Oil your hob regularly to prevent rust formation.

The optimal use of your lid

If your Ofyr is cooled after grilling and oiled again, you can cover it with the right lid in its diameter of 85 or 100 cm until the next grill round. This goes over the edge, covers the grill aesthetically and protects the Ofyr from rain. However, it is more sensitive to deformations and should not be placed directly on the hot grill in contrast to the extinguishing lid. This smaller handy snuffer in the right size for your Ofyr is used at the end of every grill round to safely delete the fire. Since he does not have to cover the fire bowl precisely, great heat and deformation are better tolerated for him.

Cleaning and maintenance

The black coated steel of the lid can best be cleaned with warm water and gentle cleaning agents so as not to damage the coating.

It is possible that the lid develops small deformations or rust points over time through heat or mechanical damage, but this does not detract from its function. Small damage in the coating can also be repaired with a black separately available repair lacquer to advance rust.
